I specialise in the fitting out, repair and modification of narrow
boats from small alterations and repairs, making new doors, cupboards,
slides etc, through to complete rooms if your boat has been lengthened
or re-fitted.

I also undertake full fit outs to your own design. Full
fit outs would be to from your own plans and are would be fully
bespoke. If required I can help you to plan your ideal boat giving
advice on layouts and what is workable and livable with. I also
specialise in the construction and repair of “fold down wheelhouses”
on Dutch barge style boats. Tried and tested construction methods and
materials are used.

I trained at the International Boat Building College at Oulton
Broad, Lowestoft and qualified in City & Guilds in yacht, boat
building and ships joinery gaining a diploma with distinction
from the college.

On leaving college, I worked with Dave Thomas at Braunston and Rex
Wain of Brinklow Boat Services gaining experience in traditional
and modern narrow boats as well as narrow beam replica Dutch Barges.

A recent project was the complete internal rebuild of a 32’ Barney
boat, the Morris Minors of the canal system, keeping the original
feel but upgrading to modern standards in fixtures and fittings and
improving the quality of construction.
